Linde Engineering India receives 'Good Housekeeping' award 2012-13
Vadodara, India - 19 June 2013: Baroda Productivity Council (BPC) organizes a 'Good Housekeeping Contest' since past 40 years. This is a pan India contest in which number of industries from different regions participate with great enthusiasm. Around 45 industries participated in the contest this year 2012-13. They were divided into seven categories depending upon the nature of industry & standard housekeeping practices followed by these industries.
Linde Engineering India (LEI) was awarded WINNER in the category 'R & D and Corporate' under the 'Good Housekeeping Contest 2012-13. There were a total of eight nominations in this category. A panel of judges having more than 30 years industrial as well as practical experience in the field, had adjudged criteria viz.: approach to location, reception area, office premises (cleanliness & orderliness of office, work place, condition of furniture & equipment, etc.), stairways, floors, notice boards, posters, charts, stores (orderliness, ventilation, illumination, condition of documents, records, etc.), disposal of waste material, employee amenities, safety & environmental issues (fire safety, first aid training, preparedness for accidents, steps for environmental protection, energy conservation measures, etc.), general (up-keeping of open land, overall maintenance, etc.) while deciding the awards.
The awards were presented by Shri N M Shah (Vice President, BPC) and Shri G P Namdeo (Executive Director & Secretary, BPC) to Milind Deo (Head, Facility Management, LEI) and Ashish Tekale (Manager, Facility Management, LEI) at The Gateway Hotel, Akota Gardens, Vadodara on Friday, 24 May 2013.
Some of the strengths of LEI as quoted by the BPC panel of judges were:
→ Excellent housekeeping & healthy workplace environment.
→ Overall layouts of all floors, passages etc. are excellent.
→ Employees are well focused.
→ Well defined exit & sprinklers in parking area are very handy during emergency.
→ No man's land is well maintained.
→ Easy to maintain office layout.
→ Excellent employees’ commitment towards proper upkeep.
→ Well regulated entry (restriction) to office premises prevents unnecessary disturbance.
→ Innovative suggestion scheme.
The management of LEI is proud of the facility management team and all the employees of LEI for maintaining cleanliness and discipline that can bring such prestigious awards to LEI. The facility management team's contribution is praiseworthy and the management of LEI heartily thanks the entire facility management for maintaining high level of discipline and hygiene in the office.
